Music has the ability to impact human beings on a fundamental level and is one of the few things that can stimulate the entire brain. Music therapy is the clinical and evidence-based use of music by a trained professional to achieve non-musical goals (relieving stress, anxiety, depression) based on needs. In this workshop, we will use music to aid in building focus, increasing emotional awareness, inducing relaxation, mindfulness, and decluttering the mind. We will also explore how different types of music can be used for different purposes. These practical music therapy techniques are powerful, fun ways for self-care for everyone.
